The City of Bothell is growing. In response, Recology is optimizing routes to reduce wear and tear on roads and improve safety to better serve our community.  Starting March 1, 2021, existing Recology customers may experience a collection day change. If you experienced a day change you will be notified by a postcard mid-February and will receive a reminder call from Recology the week before your new collection day begins.

New Bothell Customers: 

If you were previously served by Waste Management and have been notified by Recology that we will be your new service provider effective March 1, 2021, you will receive new curbside collection carts delivered to your home in February on your current collection day. Please place all current recycle, organics and garbage carts out at the curb until 5PM on your collection day and continue to do so until your new carts have arrived.

 When should I begin using my new carts?

Please use your new carts immediately after receiving them. Your current service provider, Waste Management, will continue collect your new carts until March 1, 2021.

What about my old carts?

Please leave your Waste Management carts at the curb until 5pm on your collection day starting in February. If your carts have not been removed by the next day, please call Waste Management at: 800.592.9995.
