The Cities of Fortuna, Rio Dell, Ferndale, Willow Creek, and many parts of Humboldt County have an exclusive waste hauling franchise agreement with Recology Eel River and are the only contractor permitted to place and collect debris boxes throughout these areas.
Debris boxes are used for construction and demolition (C&D) waste generated from construction, renovation, repair, and demolition of houses, large building structures, roads, bridges, piers, and dams. They can also be used for general recyclables and trash.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
- The customer takes full responsibility for any damage to curbs, sidewalks, driveways, landscaping, and underground utilities if the driver is instructed by the customer to place the box off the street.
- Boxes cannot be filled over the top or be overweight. Overweight boxes cannot be transported and return trips will be at the customer’s expense.
- No hazardous or toxic materials, automotive parts, or explosives (customers will be billed additional fees); no tires with or without rims, appliances, TVs and computer monitors, or fluorescent lights. NOTE: Hazardous materials will be returned to customer at the customer’s cost. Hazardous materials include but are not limited to: oil, paint, chemicals, asbestos, or any items defined as hazardous under Federal, State, or local laws.
