BATTERY BUCKETS
Apartment complexes with 6 units or more are eligible for a complimentary battery bucket. Establish a central location at your property- a lobby, multi-use room, or mail room- for residents to place their batteries in a collection bucket. Batteries contain hazardous material and cannot be placed in the trash, recycling, or compost. Download the battery poster.

When the bin is full, email us at customerservice@recologysf.com to schedule a pickup, provided by Recology at no charge.

FREE BULKY ITEM RECYCLING (BIR)
Schedule a curbside Bulky Item Recycling pickup for large items, like old furniture and appliances. Each unit in a multi-family residential building is eligible to receive one, no-charge curbside collection. Additional Bulky Item Recycling collections are available upon request for a nominal fee.

Once you’ve scheduled a pickup, please place all items next to the curb in front of your residence (take care not to block the sidewalk), and attach a sign that reads BIR (Bulky Item Recycling). This program does not accept hazardous waste, construction, and demolition debris, or auto parts and tires. Inside collection services are available for an extra charge (to cover labor – please call estimates).

Schedule a collection by using our web form, or emailing customerservice@recologysf.com.
