Bulky Items

For large items that don’t fit in your bins, like old furniture, appliances, or mattresses, residents may schedule a curbside Bulky Item Pickup for a service fee or drop off items at the Astoria Transfer Station.

ASTORIA RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMERS:
Astoria residents with current garbage service are entitled to 2 free trips to the Astoria Transfer Station per calendar year. Please bring a current Recology bill and matching identification for verification. You may dispose of up to 800 lbs of household garbage at no cost. Any garbage exceeding 800 lbs must be paid at the time of disposal.

We cannot accept tires, appliances, commercial, industrial, and construction or demolition material as part of this program. These items can be dropped off at the normal rate.

COMMERCIAL
Businesses may also schedule curbside Bulky Item Pickups for a fee or drop off items at the Astoria Transfer Station. Regular disposal rates apply. Businesses may utilize this service on a daily basis or as needed.
